The teams in the Golden Bear Classic are below. Bears should do well in their own tournament. Wonder why Cal is doing a buy one get one free thing but hey, no complaints here. The seats are in the rafters though. The tickets are for the games on Saturday, 12/29/07, beginning at 2:30pm with the consolation game and the title game at 5:00pm.

Cal has a stronger team this year than last year and should be more competitive. But PAC-10 is really strong this year so we’ll have to see how they match up. I’m expecting somewhere in the middle of the pack again but maybe enough to eek into the NCAA tournament if they remain healthy. Anderson continues to do well. Hardin is healthy and is a defensive force in the paint. The kid Christopher really improved this year. Point guards are pass first. All team ball and no prima-donnas to bring the team down. Looks like Braun is trying to give freshman Harper Kamp some minutes to grow him into a solid inside player for the future. No one else to root for except them. It’s all good until they lose.
Big game is on Dec 1st. If you are watching it, then I’ll come over. It’s on versus with kickoff at 4pm. Then Cal BB plays Missouri on FSN at 8pm and will watch it too if you are.
