Overrated

For my one faithful reader (I think), you will get mad at this post title. But whatever, Cal Bears stay true to who they are, and lose when we need them to win. Go figure!!

It’s nice to go for a Sunday drive, especially with a picnic basket that someone else provides. Sunday drives were the American past time and still is. Lot better than watching the crummy Raiders and 49ers. Those losers.

Speaking of losing. Our Cal Bears lost another heart-breaker. I have not had the drive to watch the video tape. From what I have read from the sports forum on the CCTimes, fans there blamed the loss mostly on coaching, right on Tedford and his staff for doing the same thing over and over again, that is consistently conservative run-run-pass-punt on offensive and fall-back with no rush and allow the QB to pick you apart slowly on defense. This was the same old thing that I commented on during the Oregon St. game that they lost last week. They and also DeSean as well wonder why JTed don’t go for broke and score a ton to compensate for their weak defense. It seems that they are playing it safe and waiting to lose instead of taking a risk and going for broke in an attempt to win. In fact, the LA press quoted Karl Dorral and UCLA players after the game that they knew exactly what Cal was going to do b/c they are predictable and do the same thing over and over again. The kid that intercepted Longshore pass for the winning TD knew exactly that pass was coming. How do you like that – Jeff Tedford being outfoxed and out-coached by Karl Dorral, never thought that would happen. Well, looks like the highly anticipated season is now up in smoke and we can look forward to the Las Vegas Bowl or the Emerald Bowl unfortunately. Damn, what a waste!
